Down but not out
My job is burning me out. I am not loving my new boss. I come home most nights and just go right to sleep... no jewelry making done. At work, on my lunch breaks, I've taken to just sitting and listening to my audio books... no jewelry making done. And on my days off, I sleep til I can't sleep any more... but... then I'll get up and get some jewelry making done.
Not much, as you can see from the pictures above, but something.
These will be in the shop tonight.
Oh, btw, I'm thinking of going back to school... YAY!... yay?

In a Dark Room
For the last few weeks, I have been sitting in a dark room. Not a "real" dark room... but in my mind. No lights. No windows. I know there is a door somewhere in this room. I KNOW there is a door leading out into a beautiful place. I am holding a flashlight but it doesn't work. It has no batteries. I am holding two batteries, but for the past few weeks, no matter how I put them in, no matter how much I want to force the damned thing to work, the flashlight would not turn on. And while I feel around for the door, blindly walking around this room, I could not find it.
This week. Just a few days ago, really... the batteries clicked into place. I turned on this flashlight. I found the door. It's a pretty door... and it's locked. :P
Now... just to find the key.
Do any of you know what I am talking about? I have been struggling, let me tell you. There have been tears and screaming and sleepless nights... heck, days where all I did was sleep. Uninspired. No motivation. Frustration.
At least now I have light. :)

Steampunky Commission
Not much from me the past 2 weeks. I'm really sorry about that. I feel kind of tapped out creatively. :-\ Need to recharge the batteries, I suppose.
Did manage to snag a commission from a friend for Valentine's day. The request? Gears, chain, and an owl. Hope they like it!

Lil' Cousin on a Uke
Didn't get much jewelry making done last week. My work schedule was all wonkified because of the new boss. Meh. It's somewhat normal this week so I'm grateful for that at least.
I know I promised new sterling silver pieces (if you follow my Facebook at all, you'll know I got some sterling wire... YEE!!!), but haven't had much time to play with it yet. So. Instead. I leave you with a video of my cousin's daughter playing her ukulele and singing a Lady Gaga song. I don't have a TV but apparently this was inspired somewhat by Glee.
